Childrens Bible Verse for Today (James 1:27)

Childrens Bible Verse
(James 1:27) Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. – http://ChildrensBibleVerse.com

Childrens Devotional for (James 1:27)
Consider this, what if each one of us practiced kindness, love and acceptance of every person who is around us wherever we are and whomever we are with? Let’s try to be our own little nation of love, hope and acceptance. Let’s start a trickle affect of change. Let’s be our own nation that our Heavenly Father would be incredibly proud of!

Heavenly Father give me a pure heart full of love for others regardless of what they look like or how they act or what they do. Show me their hurts and how with Your help I can help them heal. In Jesus precious name I pray, Amen.

Please help us change the lives of these children by helping to sponsor them. No donation is too small.

Prayer of the Day from MyPrayerToday.com

Today’s Prayer

THOUGHT FOR TODAY: Does your pet receive more money from you and live a better life than a child in Africa?

And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. Revelations 22:12-14 – http://MyPrayerToday.com

Today’s Devotional for Today’s Prayer

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’

Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. NKJV

Proverbs 5:1 – 23 Bible Verse and Devotional

Bible Verse from (Proverbs 5:1 – 23)

My son, pay attention to my wisdom,
Lend your ear to my understanding,

That you may preserve discretion,
And your lips may keep knowledge.
For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey,
And her mouth is smoother than oil,

But in the end she is bitter as wormwood,
Sharp as a two-edged sword.

Her feet go down to death,
Her steps lay hold of hell.

Lest you ponder her path of life,
Her ways are unstable,
You do not know them.

Therefore hear me now, my children,
And do not depart from the words of my mouth.

Remove your way far from her,
And do not go near the door of her house,

Lest you give your honor to others,
And your years to the cruel one,

Lest aliens be filled with your wealth,
And your labors go to the house of a foreigner,

And you mourn at last,
When your flesh and your body are consumed,

And say:
How I have hated instruction,
And my heart despised correction!

I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers,
Nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me!

I was on the verge of total ruin,
In the midst of the assembly and congregation.

Drink water from your own cistern,
And running water from your own well.

Should your fountains be dispersed abroad,
Streams of water in the streets?

Let them be only your own,
And not for strangers with you.

Let your fountain be blessed,
And rejoice with the wife of your youth.

As a loving deer and a graceful doe,
Let her breasts satisfy you at all times,
And always be enraptured with her love.

For why should you, my son, be enraptured by an immoral woman,
And be embraced in the arms of a seductress?

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord,
And He ponders all his paths.

His own iniquities entrap the wicked man,
And he is caught in the cords of his sin.

He shall die for lack of instruction,
And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.NKJV

Devotional for (Proverbs 5:1 – 23)

Then He is gracious to him, and says,
‘Deliver him from going down to the Pit,
I have found a ransom’

His flesh shall be young like a child’s,
He shall return to the days of his youth.

He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him,
He shall see His face with joy,
For He restores to man His righteousness.

Then he looks at men and says,
‘I have sinned, and perverted what was right,
And it did not profit me.’

He will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit,
And his life shall see the light.

Behold, God works all these things,
Twice, in fact, three times with a man,

To bring back his soul from the Pit,
That he may be enlightened with the light of life.

Give ear, Job, listen to me,
Hold your peace, and I will speak.

If you have anything to say, answer me,
Speak, for I desire to justify you.

If not, listen to me,
Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom. Job 33

Ephesians 2:1 – 7 Bible Verse and Devotional

Bible Verse from (Ephesians 2:1 – 7)

“To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’
NKJV

Devotional for (Ephesians 2:1 – 7)

Phillipians 4:8 – 9 Bible Verse and Devotional

Bible Verse from (Phillipians 4:8 – 9)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. NKJV

Devotional for (Phillipians 4:8 – 9)

And I will delight myself in Your commandments,
Which I love.
My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments,
Which I love,
And I will meditate on Your statutes. Psalms 119

Romans 12:9 – 21 Bible Verse and Devotional

Bible Verse from (Romans 12:9 – 21)

Behave Like a Christian

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer, distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him,
If he is thirsty, give him a drink,
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
NKJV

Devotional for (Romans 12:9 – 21)

The fool has said in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.

The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt,
There is none who does good,
No, not one.

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And do not call on the Lord?
There they are in great fear,
For God is with the generation of the righteous.
You shame the counsel of the poor,
But the Lord is his refuge.

Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When the Lord brings back the captivity of His people,
Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.
Psalm 14

Proverbs 13:4 Bible Verse and Devotional

Bible Verse from (Proverbs 13:4)

The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing,
But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich. NKJV

Devotional for (Proverbs 13:4)

You shall therefore keep all My statutes and all My judgments, and perform them, that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out. And you shall not walk in the statutes of the nation which I am casting out before you, for they commit all these things, and therefore I abhor them. But I have said to you, You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God, who has separated you from the peoples. You shall therefore distinguish between clean animals and unclean, between unclean birds and clean, and you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird, or by any kind of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.

Hebrews 11:6 – 12 Bible Verse and Devotional

Bible Verse from (Hebrews 11:6 – 12)

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. NKJV

Devotional for (Hebrews 11:6 – 12)

Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries,
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord,
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart
Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalm 27
